Saboten is about five days from now! D: ..................Wait, why am I worried?  My cosplays are done!  That means I can sleep!  (Yes, contrary to the recent video that was posted on BanzaiPro's Youtube channel, we are not having meltdowns. XD)

Anyway... I'm really excited!  Revamped Emil looks SO good! [link] I am looking forward to meeting Johnny Yong Bosch in it! (Yes!  He's still going!)  This is something I've been really dreaming to do for a very long time now; probably since I first started cosplaying Emil which was like... summer 2009?  Yeah, I'm just a bit happy.

Also, my fellow girlies of *BanzaiProductions will be doing a masquerade skit!  I'm also very excited for this because it's... well, it's epic. XD  If you're going, please check us out--it'll be awesome I promise!

30 Cosplay Questions:

1: Your first cosplay.

This is debatable... I a few costumes from earlier Halloweens before I started being a "cosplayer."  The first costume that was made for me was Kenshin Himura, and the first one that I partially made was Twilight Princess Link.  But the first costume I had that I first called a "cosplay" was Light Yagami... which essentially was a closet cosplay.

2. How many costumes have you done?

Including Twilight Princess Link, I've made 16 cosplays so far.  One in progress and many more planned!

3. Your most recent cosplay?

The most recent one that has been made is Euphie from Code Geass in her dress that she wears when she first appears.

4. Your favourite cosplay (that you have done)

This is the hardest question to answer because I love so many.  I love cosplaying Len because his personality clicks with me so well, and I love cosplaying Ciel, and I love cosplaying Oz... GAH.  Well, if I HAD to choose, it'd be Len's default costume or Ciel's volume VI cover costume.  I love all the costumes I've made for different reasons!  They all have pieces of my soul in them! D:

5. The character you have cosplayed that is most similar to you (if none that you have cosplayed, then one that you will cosplay)

Either Len, Emil, Oz, or Ciel.  It's a bit iffy with Len since his perceived personality is "unofficial."  But I'm quiet, loyal, geeky, and sometimes mischievous.  XD Emil I can really relate to because I can really relate to his character development and I'm shy like he is.  And sometimes I can be a bit critical on myself in what I think of how others perceive me. .___.  And with the fact I'm so happy when I make new friends. XD  Oz is another character I can relate to a lot, meaning I'm usually happy and easy-going, but I sometimes have a dark side that I hide.  And I can relate to the emotions he had with his past... not in the same circumstances of course, but while watching Pandora Hearts, I found myself saying "me too" a lot with him.  But I love teasing people, too. >:3  Ciel is probably the least similar to me out of these three characters, but he's another one I can relate to with an experience I had in the past as far as emotions went (again, not in the same circumstances. XD)  And when I'm in a grumpy mood, I usually behave like Ciel.

6. Your cosplay plans for the rest of the year (if you have no more for this year, then do next year!)

I'm going to go ahead and include the cosplay plans I have coming up in 2012, since this year is already almost over.  That, and I don't know when what cosplay will come when.  It's not set in stone since I have a very limited budget right now...  but in addition to finishing my secret cosplay, I'm hoping to do the following:

7. The dream cosplay that might just happen.

Oh, my dream cosplay IS happening.   But aside from that... I guess all my planned cosplays are dream cosplays in a sense... but one that I'm particularly excited about is Ginga Bishounen.  When I watch a new anime I sometimes think, "maybe I'll cosplay them" and few of them actually make it into my final cosplay list.  Ginga Bishounen was one of those that made it and stuck when I watched Star Driver almost a year ago. XD

8. The dream cosplay that will never happen.

Probably Richter on fire.  You know, the final boss from Tales of Symphonia 2.  Or probably Kratos, because I do NOT have the body type for him at all... maybe his Judgment costume... but definitely not his standard.

9. Something cosplay-related that you will never do (eg. crossplay, cosplay from a certain series)

Cosplay a yaoi, shounen-ai, yuri, shoujou-ai, or ANYTHING like that.  No. Ew.  And I never will cosplay anything "skimpy."  I just can't show that much skin. XD

10. Your cosplay idol.

I suppose they would be *pikminlink and ~quatre2323.  Pikminlink because she's an AMAZING Link and Link is like... my childhood hero.  Quatre2323 because she's the best Oz I've seen and I want to be like her. *_*  There's many more cosplayers that I admire, but those two are the first that come to mind.

But there's a difference between idols and those that I respect.  I value the cosplayers I respect more.  Those would be ~ChEsHiRe-K, ~SuperWeaselPrincess, and *ValdaValsha for obvious reasons.   And probably a lot of the other cosplayers in AZ... like ~AmaraSama, ~Dennasaur-Rawr, *Aicosu, ~electric-lady, *JouninK, *J-o-i-FuL-CoSpLaY...just to name a few... there are a lot more (and I'm SORRY if I missed you. D; )

12. Your cosplay-making habits (eg. singing while working on cosplay)

I think I bite my lips or roll them together while working on cosplay when doing something that requires a lot of concentration.  I sometimes catch myself doing that. XD

13: Your least favourite thing about cosplay?

The drama that comes in the community.  >>;; Though I don't involve myself in it, I sometimes get tired of hearing about some of it.  I mean, some drama is so trivial.  I ask myself, "really?  You're fighting because of THAT?"  Cosplay is supposed to be fun.

The second thing is probably the stress that comes with cram time... and it's usually not because of the cosplay, it's because of the school work that's added on top of it if it's during the school year.  I don't mind con crunch time if it's during Christmas break or the summer.

14. Do you belong to any cosplay groups? If so, what are they?

15. What events have you cosplayed to? Future event plans?

I've been cosplaying at a lot of cons (mostly AZ cons) since Phoenix Comicon 2009.  Anime Expo is the only out of state con I go to.  And I go to a few anime fests and events here and there. :3  Some of the future event plans include more cons and more events. XD  Including Anime Expo 2012!

16. What is your best cosplay memory?

One of them has to be the cosplay picnic I went to where I met ~SuperWeaselPrincess and *ValdaValsha.  Now that I think about it... that event changed my life. XD  The others would have to be any time I've spent all together with the rest of my sistahs.   Even if it's just putting on a wig.

17. What is your worst cosplay memory?

I don't really have one. o.o  Well... I guess the worst one would be when I was at a convention and I saw someone I REALLY, REALLY didn't want to see and almost started crying.  But it was such a brief moment and I quickly gathered myself because my girlies were there to give me hugs.  If I were to see that guy now, though, I'd imagine myself pointing and saying "HA! >: D"

18. Have you won any cosplay awards?

*BanzaiProductions won Best In Show at Taiyou Con 2011, "Best In Performance" in the Master's Division at Phoenix Comicon 2011, and personally, I've won only small little awards at cosplay events.  One being winning first place with *ValdaValsha at Arizona Matsuri 2011, and 3rd at this VERY TINY anime fest. XD

20. Have you worn cosplay in a regular situation? (eg. at school, to work)

Heck yes, I have. XD  I made it a goal to wear my Link costume at least once during every spirit week all four years of high school.  And I wore casual Allen Walker to marching band practice on Halloween.

21. Your most expensive cosplay.

I don't really tally numbers, but I'm guessing Ciel volume VI cover.  Just to give you a hint... the top hat alone cost thirty some-odd dollars.  Don't get me started on the fabric.

22. Your most comfortable cosplay and most uncomfortable cosplay.

My most comfortable is probably Oz Vessalius.  It's so low maintenance and easy to move in. :3  The most uncomfortable is probably Undertaker since it's so hot and I CAN'T SEE.

23. The cosplay you put the most effort into?

Probably Len Kagamine or Ciel volume VI cover... but I'm telling you right now, I'm working REALLY darn hard on my secret cosplay. XD

24. Any unfinished costumes? Will you ever finish them?

Yes, just one for now since school is going on.  And OF COURSE I'll finish it!  I NEVER leave things unfinished!

25. How many wigs do you own? Which is your favourite?

I just counted... 11. XD

And I don't know which is my favorite. D:  Probably Len since I look so darn good in it. XD

26. Where do you work on your cosplays and where do you store them when they're done?

Right now, I work in the living room of my apartment. *glances around* Need. to. clean...

27. What is your favourite cosplay item?

...I don't know.  Either my top hat for Volume VI cover or my Emil sword. XD

28. Cosplay peeves/things you are particular about?

When people don't style their wigs. D:<  And when people don't do the shoes, or don't do their eyebrows when they're a drastically different color from their wig color.

29. Something you want to improve on for future cosplays.

EVERYTHING.  I want to be cleaner in my sewing!  And more technically adept!  And I want to be better at prop making, and wig styling, and make-up, and...

30. Cosplay-related work you are most naturally talented at (ie: sewing, prop-making, wigstyling, etc)

I'd have to say wig styling since that's what people have complimented me on the most.
