So, I was looking at my Oz cosplay a few months ago and was thinking that it wasn't as good as it could be... If you're wondering why I haven't done an Oz photoshoot yet is because I didn't really deem the costume "photoshoot-worthy." So I did the completely insane thing and re-did some of the costume. 
What I've done is I've made an entirely new shirt (rather than one from the thrift store) so that the sleeves are more "cone-ish" and I've put more effort into the golden buttons he has on them (instead of sewing yellow fabric on there). I've also replaced the yellow lining on the vest with gold lining and real buttons (again... not just sewing on fabric). The tie is still the same though. I was most self-conscious about the shorts, though. XD Because the plaid I had before wasn't exactly... close. So I was REALLY insane, and decided to paint/draw on the plaid myself. I like the result though. :3 That's still the same "new" wig. I'm not going to change anything about that. The costume isn't completely done yet... but when it's done, I will also have new boots that I'm going to mess with, too. :3
And oh MY, Oz!! You're looking awfully pale and FLAT in that bottom-right picture! D8

Hello.. I am in the process of making this very outfit for my daughter. We were having a hard time trying to figure out how to make the buttons and that little 0 on the vest...but thanks to your idea, which is a very good idea, I think I can figure something out now!! Great job.. btw I was lucky to find some material that is almost like the original outfit's shorts. You did a great job on painting the stripes, noway I would try that!!
